We’re thrilled to share that Mission Action proudly participated in the Pride Parade this year—a historic milestone in our ongoing commitment to celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. This momentous occasion was filled with joy, solidarity, and a renewed dedication to creating a world where everyone feels valued and included.
Reflecting on the event, we’re reminded of the incredible work we do together to support LGBTQ+ individuals and families. Leading up to the parade, we took part in Give OUT Day, a nationwide initiative that amplifies support for LGBTQ+ organizations. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised vital funds to sustain programs that address the unique challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community and combat disparities in charitable giving.
Here’s a snapshot of our programs that continue to make a difference:
- Jazzie’s Place: The first shelter of its kind, offering 24 beds designed specifically for LGBTQ+ homeless adults.
- Cohen Residence: A historic Victorian home providing transitional residential care for adults living with HIV/AIDS since 1995.
- Arcoiris: A vibrant, market-style food pantry offering culturally appropriate groceries to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
