Crowd of colorfully dressed people in the SF Pride Parade

We’re thrilled to share that Mission Action proudly participated in the Pride Parade this year—a historic milestone in our ongoing commitment to celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. This momentous occasion was filled with joy, solidarity, and a renewed dedication to creating a world where everyone feels valued and included.

Reflecting on the event, we’re reminded of the incredible work we do together to support LGBTQ+ individuals and families. Leading up to the parade, we took part in Give OUT Day, a nationwide initiative that amplifies support for LGBTQ+ organizations. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised vital funds to sustain programs that address the unique challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community and combat disparities in charitable giving.

Here’s a snapshot of our programs that continue to make a difference:

  • Jazzie’s Place: The first shelter of its kind, offering 24 beds designed specifically for LGBTQ+ homeless adults.
  • Cohen Residence: A historic Victorian home providing transitional residential care for adults living with HIV/AIDS since 1995.
  • Arcoiris: A vibrant, market-style food pantry offering culturally appropriate groceries to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

As we look to the future, we’re already excited for next year’s Pride Parade! We hope you’ll join us again as we continue to uplift and stand with the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we can keep building a more inclusive and equitable world for all.

Stay tuned for updates on how to get involved in next year’s Pride celebrations. For any questions or to learn more about our work, reach out to us at info@missionaction.org

Thank you for standing with us and being the heartbeat of change and hope.
